The Peninsula Panthers have traded the CHA playing rights of G Lukas Simpson to the Creston Valley Thundercats of the Kootenay Internation Junior Hockey League. The deal completes the future considerations of an earlier trade between the two clubs which saw the Panthers acquire C Joe Densmore in exchange for D Eric Smith.
"Lukas is very excited to be heading to Creston with an opportunity to be their starting goalie next season", noted Panthers GM/Head Coach Geoff Grimwood. "We felt with Brady Berisoff returning there simply wasnt enough ice time for both guys. Lukas is a number one goalie at this level and it would be tough for him to get that opportunity here. We wish Lukas the best in Creston and know he will do great."
