Panthers sent seven players to represent the club, forwards Dan Bell, Greg, Simpson, and Blake Huppert, with defensemen Ian Ellenberger, and David Courtney, along with both goaltenders Andrew Wilson and Scott Ismond. Cat's Head Coach Nate Forster making his first All-Star appearance on the bench picked up the win along with assistant coach Bill Geddie and Andrew Coward. Team trainer Robb Nelson made one appearance in the game, helping team North player Jesse Ross who went heavily into the boards. Happy to say Ross did return later to finish out the game. Panthers Greg Simpson was named player of the game for the South scoring two goals, including the game winner at 10:40 of the third period. Panthers Ian Ellenberger backhanded a rebound off of Cat's goalie Scott Ismond the length of the ice into the empty net to put the game out of reach. Goaltender Kirk Croswell stopped all 14 shots fired his way in the second period, and was named the North player of the game. Panthers would like to thank their host the Campbell River Storm, and all their volunteers for another great VIJHL All-Star event. Gordon Lee's photo's will be posted on his web-site in the next few days. Please use the link below to keep checking. http://www.gordonleephotography.com/
