The red hot Campbell River Storm come in to the Panorama Recreation Centre for their first visit of this Regular Season on Friday.

The Campbell River Storm will come into the friendly confines of the Panorama Recreation Centre on Friday night to face off against a Panthers squad that is looking forward to the challenge.  The "Cats" were blasted by the Storm in Campbell River back on September15th and although the lineup has not changed much since that time, the play of this group has.

The Panthers won their opening game of the regular season against the Saanich Braves however, lost four of their next five games including the September 15th encounter with the Storm.  But the Club has garnered seven of the last eight points that were on the table and are looking forward to the challenge Friday.

"I thought that we went into the game in Campbell River with a group that had wide eyes," said Panthers GM Pete Zubersky.  "In fact I thought we had wide eyes for much of our first ten games.  But we have improved each time out and have been competitive and have started to put wins up on the board.  The Storm will be a great measuring stick to guage our improvement to date and we will have a good idea where we sit at 10:00 pm on Friday night."

The Panthers will have Saturday off before departing for Campbell River on Sunday afternoon for a 4:00 pm start in the back end of the home-and-home series.  "Head Coach Brad Tippett loves playing home-and-home mini-series during the season," quipped Zubersky.  "We lined up a number of these during the regular season to give our kids a bit of a playoff feel.  After this weekend we will only see the Storm one more time, back here for an afternoon game on December 17th right before the Christmas break.  Friday should be a lot of fun."

The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
